Sandsfoot Castle was constructed by Henry VIII in Weymouth, Dorset, as a defense against possible invasion from France and the Roman Empire; by the early 18th century it was in ruins; repairs were undertaken between 2009 and 2012 – enabling it to be reopened to the public. This stylised artwork is digitally remastered from an original acrylic painting – and is influenced by folk art and a love of pattern.
