Sometimes children need this reminder, usually when they are very young and just learning about sharing, and kindness – however, sadly sometimes adults need this reminder, so let’s be the poster babes by wearing this motto loud and proud. Often unkindness is through fear of difference, an unease set off by something or someone your “lizard brain’ may think of as a threat – usually completely irrational. JUST BE KIND – increase your knowledge about other people and the world, don’t take sides on social media (for example, where the worst sides of many people come out as they sit behind a certain amount of anonimity of a device screen). As my Mum used to say “If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” Words cause harm, mentally and physically; help people up – don’t push them down. There is power in kindness, helping others, love and acceptance.
